Nicholas Tyszka Elected Vice President
of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association
(Wednesday, January 9, 2019)
Nicholas Tyszka, the managing member of the Law Offices of T. Nicholas Tyszka, L.L.C. has been elected Vice President of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association (IRELA).
Tyszka's election came at IRELA's annual meeting, which was held in Elk Grove Village earlier today. The new Multi-Board 7.0 Contract was also unveiled. Tyszka was one of eleven lawyers who sat on the form's drafting committee.
"We're living in a challenging time for real estate lawyers in Illinois," said Tyszka. "Between the ongoing DS-1 litigation and legislation that has been proposed in Springfield, it's clear that some folks don't appreciate the valuable role that attorneys play in the residential closing process. IRELA needs to continue to be a voice for these lawyers, as many of them work as solo practitioners or in a small firm environment."
Founded in 1996, the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association represents the interests of thousands of attorneys across the state.
Tyszka, 39, was first elected to IRELA's board in 2014. He also serves as the chair of the Real Property Law Committee at the Chicago Bar Association and as treasurer of the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Chicago (CLG). He resides in Hinsdale, along with his wife and two children.
