About the Guild
Founded in 1934, the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Chicago is a bar association that is organized to promote the social, intellectual, temporal and spiritual welfare of its members. In addition to our Red Mass that is held annually in the Fall, the Guild organizes opportunities for prayer and reflection throughout the year. These include monthly prayer gatherings, a Lenten retreat, and educational programs that often focus on professional responsibility and service to our community.
All legal professionals – including lawyers, judges, paralegals, court personnel, and law students – are invited to join this close-knit group. We offer friendship, collegiality, spirituality, and work to help our members commit to the concept that law is a vocation and not just an occupation.
